I don’t think I actually like Lena Dunham. I mean, she’s fine and I appreciate that she looks like any woman you’d see on a street outside of a film set, but beyond that I don’t quite get the idolization. Maybe you do - I welcome your schooling, y’all.
I liked the first season of Girls, but I didn’t go bat shit crazy like some people did. Also, Tiny Furniture was kind of boring. If she’s going to keep writing starring roles for herself, why not write one that isn’t a complete moron who lets less-than-worthy men treat her badly?
And for that matter, why does her role (which is pretty much the same in both) need to be of a whiny woe-is-me-my-parents-financially-support-my-art girl? It just makes our generation of funny ladies look lame.
